Launch Lightstream Studio
Any game can be good for streaming as long the streamer can make it worthwhile for viewers. Still, there are titles that are seemingly perfect for streaming because of their entertainment value and the many opportunities they provide for good content. These titles can bring out the best reactions from streamers, which the viewers will all want to see.
If you’re looking for your next game to stream, consider these titles:
PUBG or Fortnite Battle Royale
These two games are an obvious choice because of their current player base, which is massive. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and Fortnite Battle Royale make for exciting content, as the results could go either way. They took heavy inspiration from the film Battle Royale in that they require a large group of players to kill each other until there’s one last man standing. They’re also set on a map that would shrink every few minutes, forcing players to move to safe areas in order to stay alive. Anyone has a chance to win, which make these games really fun to watch.
Dead by Daylight
Dead by Daylight is a fun 4v1 survival horror game you can stream with a few friends. Since it requires 4 players, it would be an interesting experience for your spectators if they can see all 4 viewpoints. Check out our tutorial on how to use Prism to stream your friends’ gameplay simultaneously with your own. In Dead by Daylight, one player plays the part of the monster who has to find the other three and kill them. The objective of the three is to escape the area. The interaction among players make for entertaining content, as one roams around spreading terror, while the rest run away scared to death.
Sea of Thieves
Who wouldn’t love to play a pirate and sail the open seas looking for treasure? The open world online sandbox game Sea of Thieves brings adventure back to multiplayer. Digital Trends pointed out that it’s not just about going on quests and finding treasure chests on uncharted islands. The game can also be a wild party where players drink grog until they puke, or a battle of the seas where people attempt to board the opponent’s vessel or fire cannons.
This is where the game’s strength lies, because Sea of Thieves makes the pirate life fun for players with its features. You can even play accordion music, which is a common instrumental theme for pirate-related entertainment. The distinctive sound is, in fact, a key factor in making pirate games because it invokes a vibe tied to adventure, and it happens across the board when it comes to pirate-themed games. LucasArts’ The Curse of Monkey Island, for one, has many tracks that incorporated accordion tunes. The game is essentially a parody of the pirate life, but the developers still managed to recreate nice seafaring experiences with the help of music. Among Slingo’s array of interactive themed slot games, the gaming platform has Pirate Radio, which features music that helps players imagine scenes involving treasure hunts and swashbuckling. The game even plays catchy sea shanties, making it a good interpretation of the theme, since historically, sailors were known to chant while they worked. Of course, this holds true with Sea of Thieves as well, which has a playlist that includes sea shanties, too. Why not give your spectators a show by singing along to one of the tracks?
Doki Doki Literature Club
Do a quick browsing of Steam and you’ll see a lot of visual novels, but Doki Doki Literature Club stands out from the rest. At first glance, the game looks like a romance story, but as its description states, it is “not suitable for those who are easily disturbed” and Polygon recounts the game as an uncontrollably horrific visual novel. This is not the time to give away too much detail so as not to spoil players, but rest assured that it subverts expectations. If you aren’t familiar yet with the real score about this game, you should stream it. Your viewers would want to see your reactions.
